Hystore Tech Limited is a privately own, Cyprus registered company established in March 2014. Hystore Tech Limited is housed together with Hystore Technologies Ltd and Hydrogen Filling Stations (H.S) Ltd in a 1080m2 factory in the Ergates Industrial Area, 15 minutes form Nicosia city. It exhibits spacious office facilities, R&D laboratories and production spaces. The company collaborates/employs/ highly qualified technical and scientific personnel, with M.Sc./Ph.D in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and other disciplines, who have international experience on Hydrogen Technologies and Renewable Energy Sources (RES)/Systems.

One of the activity of Hystore Tech Ltd is production and characterization of Metal Hydride Storage Units and Systems from 5 NlitersH2 to 500000 NlitersH2 or more. Hystore is one of only a few companies worldwide that is using Metal Hydrides for the design and construction of Metal Hydride Compressors (MHC). Hystore activities cover the whole spectrum of H2 production, purification, storage and the use of H2 in applications such as the “green” electricity production with H2/Fuel Cells. Special emphasis is given in the “green” hydrogen production with the use of RES (Photovoltaics and Wind-turbines) and Recycle Materials.

Another activity of Hystore Tech Limited is Hydrogen Technologies and related applications, especially in the Transportation Sector and RES sector. Hystore Tech targets existing Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles (ICE)/Machines in order to improve their efficiency and reduce exhaust gases emissions related to CO, Unburned Hydrocarbons (UH) and NOx. Hystore Tech researchers believe that, for such applications, the only solution for increased efficiencies is to introduce hydrogen into the engines in an efficient and effective way. This means on-board, on-demand hydrogen production via water electrolysis and smart hydrogen management. HHO Generator is the apparatus which can do the job, and Hystore Tech Limited has the know-how to do it in a scientific, optimal, robust and safe way.

Other than the water electrolysis, Hystore Tech Limited is investigating the on-board, on-demand hydrogen production by semi-catalytic decomposition of H2O with the use of recycle metals (such as Aluminum Cans, scraps and graze) without the use of electricity, revealing very promising preliminary results. Furthermore, Hystore Tech Limited, though the know-how of its founders, is engaged in “green” electricity production based on H2/Fuel Cells in collaboration with the other companies situated in the same factory, which also perform R&D on similar matters, related to the whole clean cycle of RES, Hydrogen Production, Storage and “green” electricity generation with H2/Fuel Cells. The storage of RES in the form of “Pumped-Storage” is also one of the major activities of the company. Such a technology is believed to give solutions to energy storage in case of excess production of electricity by Photovoltaics and Windturbines. “Pumped-Storage” approach provides significant benefits for both the penetration of renewables and the stabilization of the autonomous grid, offering also numerous technical and economic benefits to the power system operators and shareholders.
